NEW DELHI: Amanjot Kaur, a young Indian pace bowler, made an impressive ODI debut, taking four wickets for 31 runs as Bangladesh were restricted to 152 in 43 overs in the rain-shortened first one-day international in Dhaka on Sunday.
The 23-year-old dismissed opener Murshida Khatun, Fargana Hoque, skipper Nigar Sultana, and Rabeya Khan as Bangladesh laboured in the rain-shortened contest.
Nigar Sultana top-scored with 39 runs for the home team at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, and he had a critical 49-run partnership with Fargana Hoque (27).
Shorna Akther, Bangladesh's final batsman, was hurt and did not bat in the 44th over.
Earlier, Harmanpreet Kaur, India's captain, won the toss and chose to bowl first. Amanjot and left-arm spinner Bareddy Anusha made their ODI debuts, while Priya Punia, the Indian top-order batter, returned to the side for the first time since early 2021.
Shorna Akter made her ODI debut for Bangladesh.
