Abrar, known for his leg-spin and control on subcontinent pitches, aims to bolster Pakistan's spin options. Kamran, a reliable middle-order batsman, will add depth and stability to the batting lineup.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, Pakistan’s leading fast bowler, has also rejoined the squad after being released following the first Test. His return is expected to strengthen Pakistan's bowling attack.

Additionally, Aamir Jamal has been recalled to the squad. However, his participation in the second Test will depend on his fitness clearance. Jamal, an emerging all-rounder, had been focusing on his fitness at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) after previously being released from the squad.

"Abrar Ahmed and Kamran Ghulam have joined the Pakistan Test squad ahead of the second Test match against Bangladesh, scheduled to take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from 30 August to 3 September," said PCB in a statement released on Wednesday.

In the first Test, Bangladesh made history with their first-ever victory over Pakistan in Test cricket, winning by ten wickets. The victory was largely attributed to impressive performances by spinners Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

The upcoming match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will be crucial for Pakistan as they look to bounce back strong after their defeat in the series opener.
