Cricket legend
Sachin Tendulkar shared an emotional note for his mother, Rajni Tendulkar, on her birthday, celebrating the occasion with his family.
Posting a series of intimate family pictures on Instagram, the 52-year-old wrote a heartfelt caption dedicated to his mother. “I was born in your womb, so I became. You were a blessing. That's why I kept progressing. You are strong. That's why we all stayed strong. Happy birthday mom!” the Master Blaster wrote.
The pictures show the Tendulkar family gathered for the celebration, with Sachin’s son Arjun, daughter Sara and wife Anjali in attendance. Arjun’s fiancée, Saaniya Chandhok, also joined the occasion, marking another family moment in the public eye. Within an hour of being posted, the message had drawn close to one lakh likes, with fans showering love on the cricket icon’s tribute to his mother.
Rajni Tendulkar, who worked in the insurance industry, has been a central figure in Sachin’s life and career. His father, Ramesh Tendulkar, was a well-known Marathi novelist and poet.

Pictures of the birthday celebration were posted a day after the Tendulkars visited the famed Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai for Ganesh Chaturthi darshan. Sachin, Anjali, Arjun and Sara were seen offering prayers at the pandal, with large crowds turning up to catch a glimpse of the family.
Arjun has been in the spotlight in recent weeks following news of his engagement to Saaniya Chandhok, granddaughter of businessman Ravi Ghai. The 25-year-old exchanged rings with her on August 13 in a private ceremony attended by close friends and relatives.
For Sachin, however, Thursday was about celebrating his mother and expressing gratitude. His touching message, coupled with the family pictures, struck an emotional chord with fans across social media.
