The tournament, which is ACC’s marquee event, will see participation from eight teams—up from six in the previous edition, creating a larger competitive platform for emerging cricketing nations. “This year marks yet another milestone in ACC’s journey. With the inclusion of additional teams, we are witnessing the game's boundaries expand, both geographically and competitively,” Naqvi added. The BCCI had earlier agreed to stage the tournament in the UAE in line with ACC’s neutral venue policy, especially when either India or Pakistan are official hosts. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are expected to host the matches. India and Pakistan are drawn into the same group and will face off in a blockbuster clash scheduled for September 14, their first meeting since April’s heightened diplomatic tensions.
