Asked about missing Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan cricketer hilariously replies: 'Ghar waalon ki bhi yaad nahin aati'

Pakistan all-rounder Faheem Ashraf provided a witty response to a reporter's question following their tri-series match against Afghanistan in Sharjah, addressing the absence of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.

Pakistan suffered their first defeat in the tournament, falling short by 18 runs while chasing a target of 170 against Afghanistan. Haris Rauf's aggressive batting in the final overs helped reduce the margin of defeat.

Afghanistan secured consecutive victories in the tournament after successfully defending their total against Pakistan.

When questioned about missing Babar and Rizwan during the chase, Ashraf responded in Hindi: "Dekhiye match ke dauraan sirf match ka yaad hota hai ki match mein kitne score chahiye, aur kitne balls chahiye. Idhar baithke hume ghar waalon ki bhi yaad aati hai. Lekin match ke dauraan ghar waalon ki bhi yaad nahin aati toh aap humaare colleagues ki baat kar rahe hain. Match ke dauraan yehi sochte hain ki Pakistan ko kaise jitwaana hai. (Look, all we think about during the match is how many runs are required or how many balls are needed. Sitting here, we remember our families. During the match, we don't even remember our families, and you are asking about our colleagues. All we think about during the match is how to make Pakistan win)"

Both Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have been excluded from not only the tri-series squad but also the upcoming Asia Cup team due to their recent poor performances in T20 internationals.

Pakistan are scheduled to face UAE in their next tri-series match on Thursday. In their previous encounter with the hosts, Pakistan emerged victorious with a 31-run margin.
