... DAY 3, SESSION 3 ...
Game stopped due to : Rain Stoppage
Weather Interrupts the Momentum - The session concluded on a somber note as the dark clouds that had been hovering over the stadium finally forced the umpires to take the player off for early Tea. With rain beginning to fall and the ground staff rushing out to bring on the covers, the players were ushered off the field earlier than scheduled. The damp conditions suggest we may be in for a slightly longer delay than a standard interval, leaving the match delicately poised. Bangladesh will feel they are back in the hunt after that late breakthrough, while Pakistan will be hoping the weather clears quickly so Agha can continue his rescue act.
The new ball challenge and a late twist - As the innings progressed and Bangladesh opted for the second new ball. The atmospheric conditions made the moving delivery a tricky proposition, testing the resolve of the set batters once again. Rizwan and Agha navigated this difficult phase with maturity, surviving the initial burst of swing and seam. However, just as the session seemed to be ending in Pakistan’s favor, a lapse in judgment shifted the scales. With Tea approaching and a freshening breeze picking up, Rizwan attempted to accelerate against Taijul Islam but miscued his effort, falling just before the break and ending a vital stand.
A resilient post-Lunch recovery - The afternoon session saw a complete shift in momentum as Pakistan’s middle order finally found its footing. Mohammad Rizwan and Salman emerged from the Lunch break with clear intent, effectively neutralizing the Bangladeshi bowling threat that had caused such chaos earlier in the day. The pair batted with a perfect blend of caution and aggression, rotating the strike and finding the boundaries at a brisk clip. Their century partnership turned a potential disaster into a position of respectability, as both batters showcased excellent temperament to reach their respective half-centuries and put the pressure back on the visitors.
