TNPL-4

players' draft which was held here on Thursday evening. R Malolan, one of the prominent names on the list, was chosen by Lyca Kovai Kings in the opening round of the draft.

Chepauk Super Gillies

(CSG), the 2017 champions, roped in medium-pacer G Periyasamy who plays for United Friends Cricket Club in the second division of the TNCA league.

"Periyasamy - who has vision in only one of his eyes - is an exciting bowler with an action similar to that of Lasith Malinga. We lacked in the bowling department last season and Periyasamy will be a good addition to our squad," said a CSG official.

The TNPL-4 will commence at the NPR College ground in Dindigul on July 19.
