Plate Combined bags Elite Group T20 title of CSCS

RAIPUR: Sourabh Majumdar and Prashant Sai Paikra shared seven wickets between them paving the way for Plate Combined to register an easy win over Durg in the T-20 final played at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur under the CSCS Inter-district Elite Group Tournament-2022. Plate Combined emerged as state champion with the win.

Winning the toss, Plate Combined opted to bowl first. Put into bat, Durg team could score 77 for eight in stipulated 20 overs as Majumdar and Paikra claimed four and three scalps respectively. Sahban Khan’s 47-ball 32 and Jitesh Kumar Verma’s 34-ball 21 not-out remained the highlights of Durg innings.

Chasing the target of 78, Plate Combined achieved it in 10.5 overs winning the match by six wickets. Sunny Pandey (14 off 21), Ayush Pandey (14 off 11), Abhimanyu Singh (11 off 14) and Abdul Anas Khan (9 off 9 not-out) ensured Plate Combined reaches home. Anurag Yadav and Aishwarya Maurya took two wickets each for Durg.
