After finishing as runners-up last season, the Riders have strengthened their squad by retaining core players and adding explosive overseas talent.

English opener Jason Roy is a well-established name in franchise cricket worldwide, while pacer Josh Little has impressed with his performances for Ireland and the Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League.

Trinbago's retained players include some of the best short-format talents across all departments, such as Kieron Pollard, DJ Bravo, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, and Nicholas Pooran, according to a release.

Among the overseas talent, Tim David was retained by TKR ahead of the new season. The Australian missed last season due to national duties, but the franchise confirmed he will participate in the upcoming season. David is currently part of Australia's squad for the ongoing T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies.

West Indies spinner Akeal Hosein is also part of the Riders team. He recently set a T20I record by picking up a five-wicket haul in his four-over spell while conceding just 11 runs, achieving the best bowling figures for the West Indies in the T20 World Cup. Hosein surpassed Samuel Badree's 4/15 against Bangladesh in Mirpur in 2014.
