His innings, laced with 17 fours and nine sixes, propelled India to a towering 408 for seven, setting up one of the biggest wins in the format. India’s margin of victory is now their second-largest in Youth ODIs, behind the 326-run win over Uganda in 2022.

India’s innings began at a rapid pace, with Vaibhav Suryavanshi once again grabbing the spotlight. The teenage sensation smashed a brisk 50 off just 26 balls, including five fours and three sixes, to set the tone early. Although Suryavanshi fell soon after, and openers Vihaan Malhotra (7) and captain Ayush Mhatre (14) departed cheaply, India never lost momentum.Kundu found a perfect ally in No. 4 Vedant Trivedi, with the pair stitching together a massive 209-run stand for the fourth wicket.
While Trivedi played a composed supporting role, scoring 90 off 106 balls, Kundu dominated proceedings with his fluent strokeplay, particularly on the leg side, and his excellent strike rotation — 55 singles underscored his maturity.Chasing 409, Malaysia were rocked early by Kishan Singh and Udhav Mohan before Devendran ripped through the middle order. The right-arm seamer finished with outstanding figures of 5 for 22, as Malaysia were bowled out for 93 in 32.1 overs, despite a brief resistance from Hamzah Panggi (35).Brief scores: India U-19 408/7 beat Malaysia 93 by 315 runs.
