Yadav was part of the Indian One-day squad that toured England but was later ignored for the Asia Cup. He is most likely to feature in the first four-five matches for Vidarbha before the West Indies Test series, which begins on October 4.

Yadav hadn’t been part of the Indian One-day squad after the Australia One-day series last year. The Hazare Trophy will give him a good opportunity to show his form to the selectors for the shorter format. He had a brilliant IPL earlier this year and was one of the shining lights in Royal Challangers Bangalore’s forgettable season.
