NEW DELHI: Australia A's Corey Rocchiccioli produced one of the most unorthodox cricketing shots that even left commentators lost for words during the side's clash against India A in Melbourne on Friday.
Rocchiccioli cracked an unexplainable shot that the commentators eventually labeled as a 'reverse ramp' which went over the slip cordon to the third-man fence.
The Rocchiccioli hit came on the second ball of the Prasidh Krishna over when he fired in a sharp bouncer at the batter's head.
Rocchiccioli took on it as he got his head away from the line of the ball and unconventionally lifted it right over keeper Dhruv Jurel and slip fielders to the fence.
Coming in at No.10, Rocchiccioli hit a quick-fire 28-ball 35 to take Australia A to 223 all out in reply to India A's first innings score of 161.
Marcus Harris (74) was the top scorer for Australia A while Prasidh bagged four wickets for the visitors. Mukesh Kumar and Khaleel Ahmed picked up three and two wickets each.
