We are back for the second session. The Indian players are out in the field. Senuran Muthusamy and skipper Faf du Plessis walk out to the middle to resume their innings. Ravindra Jadeja to bowl the first over post Lunch.

So even after managing to score 100 runs in the session, they trail by a massive 465 runs and Faf du Plessis will now have to bat out of his skin with the tail if his side want to get some respectable total and gain some confidence. The day started on a positive note for India as Shami got rid of nightwatchman, Anrich Nortje. Theunis de Bruyn was looking good and got off to a start but failed to convert it as Umesh Yadav sent him back to the pavilion. Skipper Faf du Plessis and wicket-keeper batsman, Quinton de Kock then put up a fight. The duo counter-attacked the Indian bowlers and took charge of the situation. They added 75 runs, with the skipper getting to his fifty before Ashwin's gem got the better of de Kock. Muthusamy then joined his skipper and they managed to see through the session.

Another session that had India's name written all over it. 7 sessions and all have been won by India. That shows how far ahead the hosts are in this game.

R Ashwin to Muthusamy, Jaffa by Ashwin to end the session. Gives this one a lot of air, Muthusamy looks to defend this one off the front foot but the ball pitches and turns away sharply beating the outside edge of Muthusamy's blade. Oohs and Aahs all around but Muthusamy survives. LUNCH ON DAY 3!

R Jadeja to Muthusamy, DROPPED BY VIRAT KOHLI! Finally a moment when the Indian skipper does something wrong. A tough chance but you expect the Indian skipper to take that one. Floated on middle and off, Muthusamy looks to flick it towards the leg side. The ball goes uppishly to the right of short mid-wicket where Kohli is positioned. He dives and tries to pluck it out with one hand but the ball does not stick in his hand. Muthusamy breathes a sigh of relief because had he got out, the resistance after this looks pretty bleak.

R Ashwin to Plessis, Virat thinks there was a noise but the rest feel there is not. Floated outside off, Faf looks to sweep but misses. The ball goes under his bat to the keeper. Virat asks his teammates and then decides not to go for the review.
