Superb review from Bavuma! That stayed low and this could be a big moment in this match. On a length, outside off, Shan Masood made some sort of a movement across his stumps, trying to defend but missed the line of the ball as it zipped back in. It stayed low a touch as well and beat the bat, pinging him on the pad. Maphaka was dead sure this was gone but the umpire moved away, as the batters took a single. The South African skipper Temba Bavuma, rushed across for a chat with his bowler and keeper, but here comes the surprise. The keeper, Kyle Verreynne, said that the impact was outside off but Maphaka was sure that he had his man. Bavuma went with the youngster and took the review. And a brave choice! Ball Tracking shows the impact to be in line and the ball crashing into the stumps! So near yet so far for Shan Masood, as he misses out on becoming Pakistan's first batter to score a 150 in South Africa, as he departs for a fantastic 145. But, this might just open the floodgates now. Pakistan slip from 329/3 to 329/5 and are still trailing by 92!

One of the reasons for Bavuma not taking the second new ball as of now could be the purchase Keshav Maharaj is getting from one end. There is plenty of rough for him to be working over. The other reason could be - Kwena Maphaka is trying to settle into some good rhythm and because it may not be fair to give the kid the second new ball or take him off abruptly during a spell, Temba might just wait for this spell to get over. Oh scrap all of that. THE SECOND NEW BALL HAS BEEN TAKEN. It was taken on 81.5. Immediately there was extra pace and bounce. The kid should love it.
