Having restricted the West Indies Women to a modest total, the South Africa Women will now seek to capitalize on this advantage and start strong, as they aim to complete the job and secure a victory in this important clash. From the outset, the West Indies Women struggled to find their footing. Regular loss of wickets left them in a precarious position, and the dismissal of skipper Hayley Matthews in the third over compounded their woes. The South African bowlers maintained tight lines and lengths, effectively stifling any attempts at recovery from the West Indies. As the innings unfolded, the situation deteriorated further for the West Indies, with wickets falling at crucial junctures. Stafanie Taylor played a lone hand of 44 runs and helped them reach a fightable total!

The South Africa Women’s team have delivered an impressive bowling performance, marking a strong start to their ICC Women's T20 World Cup campaign. Led by the exceptional duo of Marizanne Kapp and Nonkululeko Mlaba, they dismantled the West Indies Women’s batting lineup, applying pressure throughout the innings. They were disciplined throughout the innings and have ensured that the West Indies couldn't establish any momentum, resulting in a below-par total of just 118 runs.
