IND vs SL T20 Highlights: India beat Sri Lanka by 2 runs in a last-ball thriller

India prevailed over Sri Lanka by two runs in their first T20 International to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series in Mumbai on Tuesday. Sent in to bat, India scored 162 for five at the Wankhede Stadium, reaching the total after being in a spot of bother at one stage of their innings. In reply, Sri Lanka were all out for 160 in 20 overs with debutant pacer Shivam Mavi (4/20) picking the first two wickets.

Dasun Shanaka (7*) got a four off an outside edge off the last ball as Axar Patel conceded 9 runs in his first over. The spinner, who came into the attack, was going well till then, giving away just five singles before the unlucky boundary. Sri Lanka now need runs at 9.7 per over.

Dhananjaya de Silva (8) opened his account with back-to-back fours off the young pacer, but Mavi had the last laugh as he dismissed the batter in the very next ball. A leading edge off De Silva's bat went straight to Sanju Samson at mid-on. India on top at the moment.
