DRINKS BREAK. Things are heating up at the Kensington Oval and everyone needs a water break. Wow. Despite being so unlucky, he still keeps on picking up wickets. The move to give him an extended spell has worked great dividends for Roston Chase, but in terms of a long-term perspective, he does need to think about Shamar Joseph steaming in for so many overs at a stretch. You don't want to see what happened to Jofra Archer post the 2019 Ashes or Jasprit Bumrah recently. Shamar will definitely be pumped up but his workload management has to be of top priority. For now, have to give it to the 25-year old though. He has got a heart of gold, as he just keeps running in, without bothering about the result. Once again, Australia's openers have failed them, despite looking a lot more comfortable as compared to the first innings. They are already 2 down and with another 90 minutes left in the day, this West Indian bowling attack would be licking its lips to run through that middle order. Josh Inglis walks in next, at number 4, replacing Sam Konstas.
Shamar Joseph to Sam Konstas, OUT! BOWLED! Shamar Joseph has his man, finally! Both the openers are back in the hut! Shamar is screaming his heart out as he goes on a marathon run. Coming to the delivery, it's a back of a length ball that seams in off the deck, Konstas looks to block it off the back foot. The ball takes the inside edge of his bat and ricochets onto the stumps. A frustrated Konstas swishes his bat at thin air, visibly frustrated. Clearly, his efforts in the nets are not bearing any fruit. Too many voices in his head? Or just too young to be thrown into the fire? He departs for just 5 after facing 38 balls and Australia are 34/2, leading by 24!
Shamar Joseph to Sam Konstas, Full around off, Sam Konstas guides it to gully.
Talking about youngsters, have to give it to Shamar Joseph. He is just 25 but what composure does he have at this tender age. A fast bowler is usually menacing, doing all the hard work to generate a mistake and get a wicket, but when your own mates drop catches off your bowling, it is pretty normal to have tea pots boiling. But despite so much bad luck in terms of catching off his bowling, very rarely do we see Shamar lose his temper. Terrific attitude.

Alzarri Joseph to Usman Khawaja, OUT! LBW! After a bit of loose stuff with the new ball, West Indies finally have their opening wicket. And it is the big one of Khawaja. This is a length ball that pitches outside off and nips back in prety sharply. Usman Khawaja is late to bring his bat down, as he hops on the back foot. He is perhaps undone by the sharp movement off the deck. Alzarri Joseph appeals and after a bit of a thought, umpire Nitin Menon raises his finger. Khawaja though, has no double thoughts. Konstas walks across to have a chat with his partner but Uzzie immediately reviews, as soon as the umpire's finger goes up. To the naked eye, that did look high, as Khawaja was in the air, when the ball hit him, albeit beneath the knee roll. Here's Ball Tracking coming up. Pitching outside off, Impact in line, Wickets hitting on Umpire's call! The on field call stays. Finally, some luck going West Indies' way. That looked to be bouncing over the stumps but umpire Menon has ruled it in their favour. Another failure for Khawaja as he departs for 15, AUSTRALIA ARE 27/1, LEAD BY 17!

Alzarri Joseph to Usman Khawaja, A bit of movement in the air for Alzarri to begin with. Starts from around the wicket to the left-hander and serves it full around off, and the ball tails back onto the stumps. Uzzie solidly blocks it off.
Excellent observation by Samuel Badree on air. He observes that Sam Konstas, despite being aggressive, is pretty reluctant to move his feet. Yes, every now and then he comes down the track, but while defending, his feet barely move. That makes him pretty much susceptible to the balls coming in, just as Shamar Joseph trapped him LBW in the first innings. At the same time, we also need to understand that Konstas is pretty young in his Test career. But he needs to work on his footwork, especially if he wants to play as an opener in Tests. Alzarri Joseph comes on as the first bowling change. 12-3-37-0 so far.
