Marathon pre-order: All editions, price, pre-order bonuses and more

Bungie's upcoming extraction shooter Marathon is officially announced to release on March 5, 2026. The developers have now opened up the pre-order for the title, and doing the same will make you eligible for exclusive rewards.
Similar to most of the other major releases, there are multiple editions of the game made available by Bungie, each providing a different set of items. In the section below, there is all the information that you need to know about Marathon pre-order, editions, price, and more.

Marathon release date and price

Marathon is priced at $39.99 for the Standard Edition, which is considerably lower than the current industry standard of $70-$80. As already specified above, the upcoming extraction shooter is all set to release on March 5, 2026, and this lower price point makes it more accessible for more players.
However, with a larger player base, there come a set of other issues, like cheaters, that the developers will have to possibly address later on.

All Marathon editions and Contents

Bungie is offering a total of three different editions of Marathon, and each of them features varying levels of content:
Standard Edition - $39.99

• The Standard Edition includes the base game, 7 Runner Shells, and access to all future updates.

Deluxe Edition - $59.99

• The Deluxe Edition includes the base game, the "Midnight Decay" Cosmetic Set featuring stylized skins for 4 Runner classes (Thief, Vandal, Destroyer, Assassin) and certain weapons (Misriah 2442 Pump Shotgun and Overrun AR), a Premium Season Pass Voucher unlocking the premium track for Season 1, and 200 SILK, the game's premium currency.

Collector's Edition - $229.99

• The Collector's Edition includes all Deluxe Edition digital content, a 1/6 Scale Thief Runner Statue produced by PureArts, a WEAVEworm Miniature replica of the in-game parasitic tech, a SteelBook Case, lore goods including postcards from Tau Ceti IV, and an embroidered faction patch, and is exclusively sold via the Bungie Store.

Marathon pre-order bonuses

Pre-ordering Marathon grants you special bonuses in both Marathon and Destiny 2. Marathon pre-order bonuses include the ZERO STEP 004 CE Tactical Sidearm Style, ZERO STEP RC Weapon Charm, ZERO STEP SHIFT Weapon Sticker, APOGEE INTERCEPT Background, and APOGEE INTERCEPT Emblem.
In the meantime, the pre-order bonuses in Destiny 2 include UESC Echo-type Shell Exotic Ghost, UESC Rover Exotic Ship, and UESC Sprinter Exotic Sparrow.
You should keep in mind that the pre-order bonuses are available with all the editions of Marathon, and the items will no longer be available after March 17, 2026. Accordingly, you are advised to do the needful before the items are no longer available.
