The pricing is quite a notable decision given that most AAA titles are pushing $70 or higher. This is a clear indication that Townfall is being positioned as a premium and tightly focused experience rather than a full-scale blockbuster.
Konami also specified that Townfall marks their third consecutive year of launching a Silent Hill game in the same season, following the 2024 release of Silent Hill 2 and the 2025 launch of Silent Hill f.
Townfall is being developed by Scottish studio Screen Burn Interactive, formerly known as No Code, and co-published by Annapurna Interactive and Konami. The studio's background in narrative-driven horror makes it a fitting selection for the Silent Hill franchise.

Silent Hill Townfall is set in Scotland in 1996, making it the first Silent Hill game to take place in the UK. Simon Ordell is summoned back to the island of St. Amelia to “set things right.” He discovers a town enveloped in a thick fog, deserted and still. But as he ventures into the fog, he starts to realize his own connection to the town and its inhabitants. Simon then begins to discover fragments of a past rising to the surface.
Unlike other entries in the franchise, Townfall is going to be a first-person experience that encourages stealth and puzzle-solving. You will have access to a pocket CRT TV alerting Simon to danger as he moves through areas. The new State of Play trailer provides a wonderful look at the gameplay, new characters, and the various mutated creatures Simon will face across the island.
