WWE 2K25 is bringing a new online mode, The Island, exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This multiplayer world lets players control their custom wrestler, MySuperstar, and take on challenges, missions, and live events. The goal? Earn the approval of The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns and prove you're worthy of sitting at the Head of the Table.

What is The Island in WWE 2K25?

The Island is WWE 2K25's online multiplayer hub, similar to NBA 2K's The City. Players can explore, fight, and progress through a structured story mode filled with quests and events. Each server hosts up to 50 players, creating a competitive environment where you can face off against others in PvE and PvP matches.

The mode introduces The Line, a communication device that connects you directly with Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman, guiding you through missions and challenges.

The Island’s story unfolds through five chapters, with Chapter 1 available at launch and the rest arriving post-launch for free. Players receive quests from WWE Superstars, completing them for XP, VC, and rewards.

• OVRcoming the Odds (Given by Xavier Woods, Johnny Gargano, Dakota Kai, Featuring Zero, Gunther, Shayna Baszler) Defeat Zero’s armored goons and face him in a Casket Match.
• An Authentic WWE Broken Vase (Given by Austin Theory, Featuring Grayson Waller, Paul Bearer, Undertaker) Reassemble a stolen WWE artifact and take it to the Cemetery.
• Interdimensional Scotch Tape (Given by Paul Bearer, Featuring Undertaker '03, Shawn Michaels '05, Undertaker '98) Defeat past versions of The Undertaker and face him in Hell in a Cell.
• Keys to the Kingdom (Given by Cody Rhodes, Becky Lynch, Featuring Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, LA Knight, Paragon Jay Pierce) Recover stolen keys to Hero HQ in a Ladder Match.
• The Queen's Favor (Given by Trent Shaw, Featuring Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn, Charlotte Flair, The Miz, Tiffany Stratton, Becky Lynch, Cody Rhodes) Stop Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn from putting the roster to sleep so Charlotte can dominate.
• Who is La Paradoja? (Given by Rey Mysterio, Featuring Cruz Del Toro, Zelina Vega, Legado Del Fantasma, Angel, Berto, Andre The Giant) Travel through time with Rey Mysterio using the silver mask of La Paradoja.
• What’s in the Past? (Given by Jodie Garcia, Featuring George Steele, Captain Lou Albano, Sensational Sherri, Ricky Steamboat, Randy Savage) Fight legendary WWE figures from the past.
• Take Me For a Ride (Given by R-Truth, Featuring Otis, Seth Rollins, Naomi) Help R-Truth find a roller coaster he believes exists on The Island.
• Prove Yourself (Given by Roman Reigns, Featuring Jodie Garcia, Trent Shaw, Chad Gable, Wes Lee, Chelsea Green) Compete in a 6-Man Tag Team Tournament to impress Roman Reigns.

The Island is divided into four WWE-themed districts, each with unique arenas and challenges:

• Hero HQ – Celebrates WWE’s top stars. Constantly under attack by villains.
• The Arcade of Tomorrow – A neon-lit hub for gamers and pop culture fans.
• The Temple of Ancestors – Honors Lucha libre and wrestling legends.
• The Deadlands – A gothic graveyard with supernatural elements.

Each district features matchmaking portals for PvP battles and special events.

WWE 2K25 The Island: MySuperstar Customization

Players can create and upgrade their MySuperstar using the MySuperstar Builder. Choices like gender, background, archetype, and weight class affect attributes, badges, and rank progression.

Customization extends beyond appearance—players can equip badges to enhance performance. XP and VC earned through quests and matches can be used to level up and unlock new abilities.

Players can join friends using the Who’s Online feature, ensuring they land in the same server instance. Higher ranks unlock exclusive rewards, but losses can drop rank points.

The Island includes several themed shops, offering cosmetic items from brands like:
