Citroen Racing signs F1 Academy title winner Doriane Pin as Development Driver

Citroen Racing have signed French champion Doriane Pin as their new Development Driver, with her first appearance as a team member set to come at the upcoming Monaco E-Prix. Pin won the Ferrari Challenge Europe title in 2022, the 24 Hours of Spa in the same year, and the F1 Academy title in 2025. She also serves as a Development Driver for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team and the Peugeot Sport Hypercar programme.

Citroen Racing announced the news on social media on Wednesday. The Instagram post from the team account read: “New talent. New energy. New era. We’re proud to welcome Doriane Pin as Citroen Racing’s official GEN4 Development Driver. One of the most exciting young talents in French motorsport, Doriane joins the team as we continue building for the future of Formula E, supporting the development of our upcoming GEN4 package. Her first official appearance with Citroën Racing takes place this weekend at the Monaco E-Prix double-header.”Doriane Pin said: “I’m really looking forward to this new role and to joining this project. Formula E is a rapidly growing championship, and it’s both exciting to watch and to drive. I’ve already started working on the GEN4 simulator with the team, which has been a great way of understanding the systems and the driving approach.”

Sharing words of praise for Pin, Citroen Racing Formula E Team Principal Cyril Blais said: “Doriane is one of the most promising and complete young drivers we have seen in recent years. Beyond her results, she brings strong technical insight and a clear ability to translate feedback into performance gains, which is critical in Formula E where we have limited development time. Her involvement in the refinement of our GEN4 package will be extremely valuable as we prepare for the future of the championship. Just as importantly, having a talented young French driver join the team is a proud moment for all of us.”Doriane will assist the team with the development and refinement of its GEN4 package, among other responsibilities.
