Cupra Kiro’s Pepe Marti reveals preference for night and dry races in rapid-fire round

Cupra Kiro rookie Pepe Marti recently took part in a quick rapid-fire round, during which he shared the choices he would make on track in different situations. He expressed a preference for a night race over a day race and also revealed whether he would choose a wet or dry race. The 20-year-old Spanish driver has been performing well in his debut Formula E season and also recorded the fastest lap in Jeddah in February.

Josep Pepe Marti played a “This or That” game with Reflo for fans on social media. When asked whether he prefers overtaking or defending, the Cupra Kiro driver confirmed his preference for overtaking. Asked if he would rather overtake on a straight or through a corner, he replied: “On a corner, definitely.”

He also chose setting the fastest lap over maintaining consistent pace throughout the race. When asked whether he would prefer to lead from the start or come back through the field to win, he said: “I mean, you can’t do both, so I’m going to say come back from the back, coming through the pack.”
When asked whether he would prefer a wet or dry track, he responded: “Depends on how rainy. I’ll go with a dry track.” He also said he would choose a night race every day over a day race if given the option.

Nissan’s Instagram admin jokingly commented on the video while hinting at his Cupra Kiro car, “Can’t park there!!” Host Reflo responded: “Groundsman gave us permission… honest.” A fan, impressed with Martí’s English, also wrote: “Pepe making us Spaniards proud with a C3 in English.”

Where is Pepe Marti in Formula E Drivers’ Standings?

Pepe Marti made his Formula E debut with Cupra Kiro this season. He is teammates with Dan Ticktum, and the pair are popular for featuring in fun social media content for fans.

Marti has shown solid form after six races. He retired from his debut race in Sao Paulo but has delivered consistent performances since. After finishing seventh in Round 2 in Mexico, he placed ninth in Miami and 14th in Jeddah. However, he bounced back the following day to finish sixth in the second race of the Jeddah double-header, also setting the fastest lap.

He added two more points in the most recent race in Madrid, finishing ninth at the Circuito del Jarama.

The Spanish driver is currently 12th in the Formula E Drivers’ Standings.
