The Red Bull Racing star took some time off to enjoy the holiday season, even heading out for a fun drive in a Mercedes-AMG to make it back home just in time for Christmas at his new residence. His girlfriend, Kelly Piquet, has now shared a glimpse of their festive celebrations, which are particularly special as they mark the first Christmas for their seven-month-old baby girl, Lily. Piquet also shared a picture of Verstappen proudly showing off a graphic T-shirt, which appears to be his Christmas gift this year.

Ahead of Christmas, Verstappen had shared a series of photos from a GT3 race on Instagram, accompanied by the caption, “Bit of fun before the break, looking forward to 2026.” His team, Verstappen Racing, has collaborated with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport for the upcoming GT3 season, marking an exciting new chapter for the Dutch driver outside Formula 1.
Verstappen is now set to return to the track for the new season, which begins with the Australian Grand Prix in March. He narrowly missed out on securing his fifth world championship title this year, losing the crown to McLaren driver Lando Norris by just two points, making the upcoming season one of the most anticipated of his career.

Max Verstappen opts for a new car number in F1
In Formula 1, Max Verstappen will be racing with car number ‘3’, as the four-time world champion has given up his iconic ‘1’ to the new F1 world champion, Lando Norris. Speaking about his decision to switch to number 3, Max revealed in his end-of-year interview on Viaplay, “It won't be number 33. My favourite number has always been 3, apart from number 1. We can now swap, so it’ll be number 3. Number 33 was always fine, but I just like one 3 better than two. I always said it represented double luck, but I've already had my luck in Formula 1.”Verstappen is now set to return to the track for the new season, which begins with the Australian Grand Prix in March. He narrowly missed out on securing his fifth world championship title this year, losing the crown to McLaren driver Lando Norris by just two points, making the upcoming season one of the most anticipated of his career.
