BANGALORE: Chikkarangappa continued to dominate and consolidated his lead with a three-under 69 in the second round of the LG Karnataka Open on Wednesday.
The local favourite is six shots ahead of his famed compatriot Rashid Khan (69) and strong contender Rahul Bakshi (72), who were tied for second with totals of 143.
However, experienced players like Rahul Bajaj, Saurabh Bahuguna and Tarun Ghogale missed the cut which was applied at 12-over 156.

"I drive and hit it well. However I could not hole the putts as I was doing yesterday. Luckily I hit most of the greens else it would have been a disaster," said the 16-year-old Chikka.
