Jaipur: Jaipur’s young golfer, Ojaswini Saraswat, representing Rajasthan, reigned supreme in the IGU Maharashtra Ladies & Junior Girls Golf Championship. The fast-rising golfer has triumphed at her fourth national tournament held recently at Oxford Golf Resorts, Pune. With rounds of 73, 69, and 75, she secured the national title by two strokes, marking her third victory this year.
Despite trailing by two strokes on Day One, Ojaswini showcased exceptional skill and determination to take the lead on the second day. On the final day, she clinched the crown even after facing a controversial two-stroke penalty.
Ojaswini expressed gratitude to her coach, Laurence Brotheridge, and her family for their unwavering support. Last month, she finished second in her third national event after recovering from dengue.
It is worth mentioning that out of the four national tournaments played this year, Ojaswini has won three titles. It is noteworthy that she trains hard and practices regularly at the Rambagh Golf Club in Jaipur to hone her skills.
