Brooklyn Beckham will make his debut in the Ryder Cup All-Star Celebrity Match, with a host of big names from the sporting world, music, film, and cooking taking part before the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black. Recent announcements confirming both the European and U.S. celebrity teams, touting the addition as an exciting addition ahead of golf's premier team event, only added fuel to the fire. The match, scheduled for September 24, two days prior to the official Ryder Cup events kicking off, will see Beckham on Team Europe.
What the celebrity match will feature and who is playing
The All-Star Celebrity Match will consist of a 10-hole scramble format over holes 1, 15, 16, 17, and 18 at Bethpage Black, with doubles on each of those holes. Each match consists of two Team Europe celebrities versus two from Team USA, with up to one point awarded per hole and halved holes counting as half-points.
Team Europe’s roster includes Brooklyn Beckham, Catherine Zeta-Jones, actors Tom Felton and Oliver Phelps, former basketball stars Pau Gasol and Toni Kukoč, renowned chef José Andrés, and ice hockey legend Teemu Selänne.
On the U.S. side, the confirmed names include former NFL players Eli Manning and Michael Strahan, tennis icon John McEnroe, country music singers Miranda Lambert and Kane Brown, celebrity chef Bobby Flay, comedian and writer Colin Jost, and folk-pop singer Noah Kahan.

The appearance of Brooklyn Beckham is of interest as he plays in a celebrity golf event at this level for the first time, although in connection with the iconic Ryder Cup. Much better known as a media personality, model, photographer, and son of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, Romeo made it out there for the full competitive sports activities or golfing.
While very little about his handicap is known publicly, he has posted videos of his swing on social media in the past and has attracted interest and praise from golf fans including Ryder Cup legend Ian Poulter.
The event is intended as more than mere entertainment for fans, but it will also bring an engagement element to Ryder Cup week.
