The injury has ruled him out of several major clay events, including the Madrid Open, Italian Open, and even French Open. Doctors have advised rest for four to six weeks. During this time, Alcaraz has chosen to focus on recovery. He is spending quality time with his loved ones. He recently shared moments from his break, showing a different side of his life beyond tennis.

Away from competition, Carlos Alcaraz has been making the most of his time off. He shared a set of photos on Instagram, highlighting special moments from April and May. The images included selfies with global sports icons like Simone Biles and Eileen Gu during the Laureus World Sports Awards held in Madrid.

The Spaniard was honoured at the event with the World Sportsman award after a brilliant 2025 season. He won eight singles titles, including major victories at the French Open and the US Open. Sharing his post, Alcaraz described the period as a mix of emotions and healing, highlighting both recovery and happiness.

His update also featured a touching family moment. In a short clip, his father, Carlos Alcaraz González, was seen gently kissing his wife Virginia Garfia Escandón’s hand during what appeared to be a birthday celebration in late April.

Alcaraz also celebrated his own birthday on May 5 while wearing a wrist cast, as seen in a photo shared by his brother’s girlfriend. Despite the setback, the young star appeared relaxed and positive. He has not yet confirmed if he will be fit in time for Wimbledon Championships, which begins on June 29.
