Swiatek’s long-time physio Maciej Ryszczuk has shared a clear update about the team’s next move. Speaking to Polish outlet Fakt, he explained that the goal is simple — bring in a new coach as soon as possible.

“That’s the plan. Iga would like to work with the new coach as soon as possible, preferably at the next tournament,” he said. “Whether that will happen is still hard to say. We’ll see how the next few days unfold.”

Her next event is the Stuttgart Open, starting April 13. So, the timeline is tight. The team wants things settled before she steps back on court.

Ryszczuk also made it clear that the final call always belongs to Swiatek. “The most important thing is that Iga feels good. These are her decisions,” he said. “Of course, she can ask us for our opinion, but it’s our job to support her, regardless of the decision she makes.”

He added more detail about how decisions are made inside the team. “Iga always puts the final touches on the project and makes the final decisions. However, in most cases, once she decides something, she consults with the team on further steps. She never plans everything from A to Z on her own.”

Alongside the coaching search, another key step is already being planned. As reported by Polish outlet Przeglad Sportowy Onet, Swiatek is expected to travel to Mallorca and train at Nadal’s academy. The report also suggests that a potential coaching candidate could join her during that trip.

This move makes sense with the clay season ahead. Swiatek has always admired Nadal, especially for his dominance on clay courts. Now, training at his academy could help her reset and get ready for the next phase of the season.
