One of Ilia Malinin’s next big appearances will be at Art on Ice in Switzerland. The 2026 tour runs from 26 February to 1 March in Zurich, then moves to Fribourg on 3-4 March and Davos on 6-7 March. Malinin will perform only in the Zurich shows this year. According to official Art on Ice information, this will be his fourth time skating in the popular live show that mixes figure skating with international singers.




This year, his setlist shows a fresh side. He will skate to “Rather Be” by Jess Glynne and “Pink Lemonade” by James Bay. The music choice suggests a more expressive and relaxed performance style.

But even while preparing for shows, Malinin’s focus is still on competition. He has entered the 2026 World Championships in Prague. There, he will compete in the men’s singles event with both a short program and a free skate. Speaking about his plans, Malinin said, “My next goal is to have a redemption skate at the World Championships. And after that, just, you know, the stress of the Olympic season will finally be over.”

The Olympics, however, were not easy. Malinin had not lost a major event in more than two years. He led after the short program in Milan and looked ready for gold. Then came the free skate. He fell twice. He did not attempt his famous quad axel. Several other elements had errors. Those mistakes cost him heavy points and pushed him down to eighth place.
