Jammie Booker is speaking again, and this time the message is short but loud. The 2025 World’s Strongest Woman winner, who later lost the title after organizers said the athlete is “biologically male,” shared a gym selfie on Instagram this week and wrote, “Proof of life… the death threats didn’t work.” It is the first public post from Booker since the controversy exploded in November after the championship in Texas. Jamie Booker had won the Women’s Open division at the Official Strongman Games world championships. But days later, officials removed the title. In a public statement, Official Strongman Games said, “It appears that an athlete who is biologically male and who now identifies as female competed in the Women’s Open category.” The group added, “Competitors can only compete in the category for the biological sex recorded at birth.”
The decision followed complaints from other athletes. According to the
Daily Mail, competitors were sent explicit images and videos from an adult website that raised questions about Booker’s gender. Jamie Booker did not respond publicly at that time.
Jammie Booker disqualified as Andrea Thompson elevated after Official Strongman Games statement
After Booker was stripped of the crown, Great Britain’s Andrea Thompson, who finished second in Texas, was moved into first place. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Andrea Thompson said she and others had no idea about the situation during the event. “Had I known, I definitely would have done something about it prior to the event being over. But nobody knew,” Jade Dickens told Fox News Digital. Dickens and fellow competitor Hailey Sikman both said they were upset when the news came out.
Hailey Sikman said she tried to speak with Booker during the contest but felt brushed off. Other athletes described Booker as confident and outspoken during the meet.
As the story spread, an investigation by the Daily Mail reported that a performer named Jammie Jay, listed on the IAFD database, resembled Booker. The database shows that Jammie Jay received nominations at the Trans Erotica Awards Show in 2020 and 2022. Booker has not publicly confirmed working in adult entertainment. The Daily Mail said it contacted both Booker and Booker’s coach for comment at the time.
Now, months later, Booker’s short Instagram message suggests the backlash went far beyond sport. The profile, which is private, still reads “worlds strongest woman 2025.” No further statement has been shared.
