Jude Bellingham shares graphic surgery footage as Real Madrid star finally reveals years of painful shoulder dislocations
The story is not just about a footballer getting surgery. It is about how long he kept going despite pain. Jude Bellingham has finally opened up about a shoulder injury that troubled him for years. The Real Madrid midfielder shared a detailed video showing his surgery and recovery journey.
He had been dealing with repeated shoulder dislocations since 2022. Still, he chose to delay surgery again and again. The reason was simple. He did not want to miss big tournaments and important matches. Now, after finally going through the operation in July 2025 in London, he has spoken honestly about the fear, pain, and the impact it had on his body.
So he kept playing. Even after moving to Real Madrid, the issue did not go away. In fact, it got worse. He suffered more dislocations in 2023 and 2024. One of the worst moments came during a match against Rayo Vallecano, when his shoulder stayed out longer than usual.
Talking about that moment, he said, “It stayed out for a while and I could not get it back in myself. It felt like an eternity before the physios got it back in. It was actually 90 seconds, but for me it felt like five or ten minutes. It was a horrible experience.”
Even then, he chose to continue. He wore a brace under his shirt and adjusted his playing style. But that came with a cost. He explained, “Wearing the brace means other parts of my body have to compensate. I even had a point where I could not move because of pain in my back.”
Finally, after years of managing the injury, he had surgery at Fortius Clinic on July 16, 2025. The video he shared shows real moments from before and during the operation.
He admitted the mental side was just as tough. “I was really worried about everything that could go wrong. It is the most anxious I have been about anything,” he said.
Now, his focus is simple. He wants to return stronger. “The thing I am most looking forward to is being able to play without a brace again,” he added.
