As 2025 comes close to an end, Lindsey Vonn has taken time to reflect on a year filled with major milestones. The American skiing legend returned to competitive racing last year and successfully earned qualification for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina.These moments added to what she described as a special and unforgettable year. During her push to secure an Olympic quota, Lindsey Vonn featured on the cover of Time magazine. It highlighted her powerful comeback story. Around the same period, she also appeared on the cover of SNOW magazine’s High Season 2025/26 issue. The photos showed her dressed in an all-white outfit against a snowy backdrop. This marked her second time on the magazine’s cover, following her earlier appearance in 2019, which featured a relaxed beach-themed shoot.Vonn also graced the winter issue of Outside Magazine. She wore a clean and classic athleisure look that quickly caught the attention of fans.
Sharing her thoughts about these moments, she reflected on how special the year had been. She wrote, “There have been a lot of ‘pinch me’ moments this year… but these covers are pretty crazy….Grateful to the people who believed in me and made it happen”.Beyond magazines, the biggest highlight of Vonn’s year came with Olympic qualification. She confirmed her place at the 2026 Winter Games, which will be her fifth Olympic appearance. Her last outing came at the PyeongChang Games in 2018. Earlier, she had competed at Salt Lake City 2002, Turin 2006, and Vancouver 2010.After qualifying, Vonn shared her emotions on Instagram. She celebrated the achievement and expressed pride in representing the United States once again. She wrote, “OLYMPICS, HERE WE COME!! I have officially qualified for the Olympics in Cortina!!! @teamusa”. She also spoke about her deep connection to Cortina and promised to give her absolute best every time she leaves the start gate.Vonn returned to ski racing after a successful knee replacement surgery in April 2024.
