Thierry Henry believes Arsenal’s players are mentally ready for the final stretch of the season. The former striker explained that even if the squad tried to stay focused on their own match, there was no way they could ignore Manchester City’s slip against Everton.

“They cannot act like they didn’t watch the game or I don’t know if they were at home or they went to the hotel in the afternoon to prepare for this game. But I can assure you they’re going to be fully concentrated on the game tonight and they know that now the title is in their hands and they just have to win their games and they’ll be champions,” Henry said on CBS Sports.

Manchester City looked comfortable after taking the lead against Everton, but the match suddenly turned in the second half. Everton scored three times and nearly handed Arsenal an even bigger advantage before City fought back late to rescue a draw. Even so, the dropped points gave Arsenal another boost in confidence.

Meanwhile, Arsenal handled business in Europe. After drawing 1-1 in Madrid last week, Arteta’s side produced a disciplined performance at home against Atletico Madrid. Bukayo Saka scored the only goal just before halftime after Jan Oblak pushed a shot into his path inside the box.

The win sent Arsenal into their first Champions League final since 2006. The club will now face either Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest on May 30, 2026. Before that, Arsenal must stay focused on the Premier League, where matches against West Ham, Burnley, and Crystal Palace could decide whether the club finally lifts the trophy again after more than two decades.
