Off the field, her relationship with American tennis player Ben Shelton has also caught attention. The two made their relationship public in March last year after sharing messages online. Since then, fans have followed their journey closely.

Ben Shelton spoke about the attention in an interview with The New York Post. He said, “It’s been great, obviously. I guess I didn’t think it would blow up as much as it did. That’s not why I did it. I feel like, you know, posting your girlfriend on Instagram is a more normal thing. I guess because of who it is, is why people went nuts a little bit. But yeah, kinda crazy how much it did blow up and I realized, ‘wow, people care about my life that much.’ But yeah, [we’re] happy for sure.”

Even though they play different sports, Trinity Rodman said they support each other in simple but important ways. Speaking on The Women’s Game podcast, she explained, “The biggest thing that we communicate about is like the emotional, mental side because we are similar players. Like we are very out there, like very big personalities, just very passionate about the game in general. And knowing each other, it’s cool to kind of figure out how to communicate to each other and give each other encouragement to manage those games.”

Meanwhile, Ben Shelton recently won the BMW Open title but had an early exit in Madrid after losing in the first round.
