Tyson Fury questions Anthony Joshua toughness after Daniel Dubois failed to drop Oleksandr Usyk and Fabio Wardley
The comments quickly grabbed attention because Fury and Joshua are still expected to meet later this year in one of the biggest fights British boxing has seen in decades. With talks around the fight continuing, Fury’s latest remarks looked like another attempt to get under Joshua’s skin before both sides finally step into the ring.
Tyson Fury says Anthony Joshua reacted differently to Daniel Dubois punches
Fury compared Joshua’s loss to Dubois with the performances of other heavyweight fighters who managed to stay on their feet against the IBF champion. Speaking in the Instagram video, Fury said: “Well, I’ve just been sat here thinking, after Dubois’ unbelievable fight last night.
“He hit Oleksandr Usyk with some big bombs, never put him over. But yet he fights Anthony Joshua and pummels him, puts him to the floor five times.”
Dubois has built serious momentum over the last two years. He stopped Jarrell Miller in late 2023 and then beat Filip Hrgovic by TKO months later. On Saturday night, he defeated Fabio Wardley in a brutal fight where both men absorbed heavy punishment before the referee stopped the contest in the 11th round.
Fury continued his comments by saying: “I’m not saying Anthony Joshua’s chinless, but they’re the facts. Take it as you wish and as you will.
“Everybody else never went over, not a singular person Big Baby Miller, Hrgovic, Usyk or Wardley, but Joshua goes down five times.” He then ended the video laughing and saying: “Chinny, get up!”
