The question many UFC fans keep asking is simple: Can anyone stop Khamzat Chimaev? This week, two well-known fighters believe the answer might be yes. King Green and Urijah Faber shared their thoughts while speaking on the JAXXON Podcast. During the discussion, they were asked if anyone in the UFC has the tools to deal with Chimaev’s pressure, wrestling, and mindset.Chimaev remains undefeated and currently holds the UFC middleweight title. His fast rise and dominant wins have made him one of the most feared fighters in the sport. While many believe he is unstoppable, Green and Faber pointed to one fighter who they think could push him harder than anyone else. Their answer surprised some fans, but their reasons were clear and well thought out.

King Green and Urijah Faber explain why Anthony Hernandez could test Khamzat Chimaev

When asked about Chimaev, Faber focused first on mindset rather than skills. He praised how locked in the champion is every time he fights.“It comes down to mentality, not technique, with him,” Faber said. “What I see is a guy with amazing physical gifts. He is fully committed to his game plan, and that is very powerful. When someone is all in like that, it is hard to fight.”
Still, Green believes Anthony Hernandez, also known as “Fluffy,” has what it takes to challenge Chimaev. Faber agreed and highlighted Hernandez’s stamina and work rate.“He has always had a gas tank, like Cain Velasquez had,” Faber said. “Some guys can just keep going and going without slowing down.”Faber also pointed to Hernandez’s training team as a major reason for his growth. He mentioned Eliot Kelly and Ryan Loder, both high-level wrestlers, as key figures behind Hernandez’s rise.“All this hype around Fluffy has come in the last two years,” Faber explained. “He has made huge improvements with high-level training. His game has gone to another level, and he truly believes in himself.”Meanwhile, Chimaev has been busy on social media. He recently said that “nobody wants to fight” when asked about his return. Injuries stopped him from defending his title after winning it in August, raising questions about his activity.Chimaev has also taken shots at Alex Pereira and his coach Glover Teixeira. On X, Chimaev wrote, “Chama team talk too much, that is why there is no respect anymore.” He added that his undefeated record is the main difference between them. For now, Chimaev says he plans one more middleweight fight before moving up, leaving the division waiting.
