Owen shared that he had recently told friends that Bowen would be his top choice for Liverpool. He believes Bowen has reached a level where he can step into a big club and perform immediately. He also mentioned that Bowen deserves to be considered for international tournaments because of his form.

Liverpool’s situation makes the need even more urgent. The club has spent heavily in recent seasons. Because of that, they may not have unlimited funds this summer. Owen feels the team does not need a full rebuild. Instead, only a few key changes are required. Replacing Salah is the most important task.

He also pointed out that Liverpool currently lack a natural right-wing attacker. While players like Cody Gakpo and Florian Wirtz offer attacking options, none of them play in Salah’s exact role. This gap makes Bowen an even more suitable choice.
