Jake Paul is not thinking about boxing right now. After losing to Anthony Joshua in Miami, the 28-year-old is taking a break from the ring. He is healing from a jaw injury. But more than that, he is thinking about family. On Tuesday, Jake spoke openly about his future on his brother Logan Paul’s podcast, IMPAULSIVE. He shared that he feels ready to become a father. In his own words, he said, “I have such baby fever. Like I want kids so bad.”
At the center of this new chapter is his fiancée, Jutta Leerdam. She is an Olympic speed skater from the Netherlands and one of the biggest names in her sport. Jake said he plans to step away from boxing to support her dream at the 2026 Winter Olympics. For him, family now comes first.

Jake Paul explained that his next months will be very different. Speaking on the podcast after his surgery, he said, “I’m going to take some time off to go support Jutta at the Olympics.” He then added that she will move to Puerto Rico with him. “Move her here. Maybe go snowboarding or something,” he said with a smile.
The talk soon turned personal. Logan joked about cousins for his daughter, and Jake agreed right away.
He made it clear he feels ready for fatherhood. “Yeah that part. I feel ready bro,” Jake said. “I have such baby fever. Like I want kids so bad.”
Jutta Leerdam has also spoken honestly about their relationship. In the Netflix series Countdown: Paul vs Tyson, she said, “I never, ever expected to date him, like never.” She added, “Of course, I didn’t know a lot about him. I could only scroll on his Instagram and form an opinion like the whole world does.”
Jake has nothing but praise for her. He has called Jutta a “superwoman” and “the most amazing woman there is.” The couple got engaged earlier this year. Jake proposed with a diamond ring reported to be worth around $1 million. Their wedding is expected next summer.
Jutta was not in the arena for Jake’s fight against Anthony Joshua. She later explained why on TikTok, saying, “I wish I could be there… but this week is my Olympic qualification week, so I can’t.” After the fight, she posted a message of support online: “I’m proud of you, baby. I have so much respect for you taking on this challenge and fighting so well against a heavyweight champion. My champion.”
The two first connected in 2023 when Jake Paul sent her a message on Instagram and invited her onto his podcast. Since then, their relationship has moved fast. Now, with boxing on pause and the Olympics ahead, Jake Paul says his focus is clear: support Jutta Leerdam, build a home, and start a family.
