Enzo Badenas, a 17-year-old Spanish motocross rider, has died after a tragic accident during a private training session in Spain. The young athlete was seriously injured on Sunday, December 7, while practicing at a motocross circuit. His sudden death has left the motorsport community in shock, with many struggling to process the loss of such a young and talented rider.
The Specialized Center for Motor Sports Technification, known as CETDM, confirmed Enzo Badenas’ death through an Instagram post later that day. The training center said the teenager suffered a “serious accident” during practice. Despite medical efforts, he did not survive his injuries.

The incident took place at the Red Sand Park circuit in Castellón, eastern Spain, according to La Razón and Las Provincias, Spanish news sources.
When the crash happened on Sunday, December 7, Enzo Badenas was engaged in a private training session rather than a competition.
Further information about the cause of the accident has not been made public by officials.
CETDM, which works closely with young riders, shared a message expressing deep sadness. “The Ricardo Tormo Circuit Technification Center is shocked by this news,” the statement said.
“All staff members send love, condolences, and strength to Enzo’s family, friends, teammates, and everyone close to him.”
Enzo Badenas joined CETDM in 2023 after winning the Spanish 85cc Motocross Championship the season before.
He quickly became known for his strong work ethic and steady improvement. Coaches and team members viewed him as one of Spain’s rising motocross talents.
On Monday, December 8, Enzo Badenas’ family shared an emotional message through his Instagram account.
They announced that his wake would be held on Wednesday, December 10, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral mass at 6:00 p.m. The service will take place at the Monduver Funeral Home in Gandía, Spain.
“We are feeling all your love and support, and I’m sure Enzo feels it too,” the family wrote. They also stated Enzo would have liked to see the farewell greetings.
Including the European Championship, Enzo Badenas participated in a number of national and international competitions as a part of the Spanish motocross national program.
CETDM stated that throughout his brief career he exhibited tremendous personal development and racked up several podium results and wins.
The motocross community grieves the death of Enzo Badenas, but tributes keep flowing in.
