Recently, MLB analyst Jon Heyman talked about the reason why Soto decided to ditch the Yankees for an offer that has a difference of just $5 Million.

On Friday, MLB insider Jon Heyman made an appearance on the "The Baseball Insiders podcast," during which he shared his take on Juan Soto's decision to leave the Yankees for the Mets. Talking about how there were more factors involved in Joto's decision to sign a $765 Million contract with the Mets, Heyman said:
"Juan Soto wanted to go to the Mets. I think Aaron Judge said it correctly. I don't think it's about the money when you're talking $765 million versus $760 million. There isn't that much difference there and the Yankees would have gone $765 million if he said he wanted $765 million, they would've just matched the Mets. Well, are they going to draw the line there?"

Moving forward in his statement, Jon Heyman claimed that Juan Soto felt more comfortable signing with the New York Mets than the New York Yankees, considering the fact that they were also providing him with a luxury suite. Concluding his statement, Heyman said:
"I know they drew the line at the luxury suite, but I don't think they would draw the line at an extra $5 million, which isn't even one percent. He had meetings with all the teams, he liked the Mets, his family liked the Mets, they were giving him that suite and he just felt comfortable over there. So, I think that's what it was about."

Aaron Judge opposed to Juan Soto’s justification for leaving Yankees

The New York Yankees' captain, Aaron Judge, previously made headlines when he criticized Juan Soto's justification for leaving his former team to sign with the New York Mets during the offseason. Sharing an opposite take, Judge had previously expressed:
“That's his opinion. He can say what he wants. I definitely disagree with him. It’s going to be great having him in the town. We’re going to be battling back and forth for quite a few years."
