Brandon Phillips played nearly 10 seasons with the Cincinnati Reds and became one of the most popular infielders in franchise history. He was a three-time MLB All-Star and won four Gold Glove Awards during his career. After leaving Cincinnati in 2017 for the Atlanta Braves, he last played in Major League Baseball in 2018.

His wife, Jade Cargill, has built her own successful career in professional wrestling. Born in Florida, she played college basketball at Jacksonville University for the Jacksonville Dolphins before stepping into wrestling. During her senior year, she was named to the Atlantic Sun Preseason First Team.

Phillips and Cargill reportedly started dating in 2015 and later welcomed their daughter, Bailey Quinn, in 2017. Their first meeting happened by chance at a Starbucks. In a 2022 story for The Players’ Tribune, Cargill shared how it felt like a movie scene.

She wrote, “One day, my manager and I were meeting at a Starbucks and then directly after, I guess he was meeting up with Brandon. I was walking out the door as Brandon was walking in, like a rom-com or something. And I guess he noticed me and asked about me. Like, ‘Who was that?’”

Cargill later entered professional wrestling after being introduced to WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry, who helped guide her early journey.

She recently lost the WWE Women’s Championship to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42, ending her 169-day title reign. Even after that major moment, she made it clear that being in Cincinnati for Phillips matters deeply to her.

Speaking about the trip, Cargill said, “He’s worked so hard. He loves the Cincinnati Reds. He always wanted to be a Red for life. So, we’re excited to go back to Cincinnati.”

She even missed this week’s SmackDown episode to travel with him for the special ceremony, showing how important this moment is for their family.
