Steve Erceg is looking forward to fighting Brandon Moreno for the UFC flyweight championship

Steve Erceg is looking for a big win in his upcoming fight against Brandon Moreno. “I’ve said it plenty of times: If I had a dream fight, it would be Moreno. And it’s not just Moreno – it’s Moreno in Mexico. This couldn’t be a bigger event, so I’m very pumped. I don’t know if I’ve ever been this excited for a fight – even the title. I was obviously excited that I’m fighting for a title and stuff, but you always have those nerves. This fight, it was like, oh man. I don’t know what it is. I’m so pumped for it. ” Erceg addressed his fight with Moreno on the MMArcade Podcasty

“My guess is because when I found out I was fighting Pantoja, I’d never fought five rounds. I didn’t know if I could hang at that level, different stuff you’re not sure about. Now, I’ve gone five rounds. I was able to hang with the champ. I know I got knocked out in my last fight, but that’s another big fight. I’m slowly accruing experience, and I’m pumped for this one.”

Erceg is looking for redemption in the form of a win against Moreno. After back-to-back losses, he is losing momentum. He sees Moreno as the perfect opponent to beat next. Meanwhile, Moreno is fresh off a statement win against Amir Albazi. He’s tasted gold, lost it, and now fights like a man determined to reclaim what he thinks belongs to him

  • Steve Erceg: 12-3 record (3-2 UFC)
  • Brandon Moreno: 22-8-2 (10-5-2 UFC)
Statistics suggest a clear favorite, but the real world is more than just stats.

Erceg respects Moreno’s boxing, chin, and relentless forward pressure. Those attributes have broken many before him. But he believes his experience, adaptability, and game plan can neutralize the onslaught. Moreno thrives in chaos— Erceg wants to control it. The clash of strategies will define this fight.
