BANGALORE: Sandeep Singh won a gold and Arpinder Singh a sliver for India on the second and final day of the Asian All-Star athletics that concluded in Almaty, Kazakhstan on Sunday. Sandeep Singh, who clocked his personal best 3:42.76 to win the 1500m at the National Inter-State championships in Hyderabad, took the gold in 3:51.66 after beating the challenge of Artem Kossinov of Kazakhstan (3:51.73) and Japan's Hiroshi Ino (3:53.23).

In men's triple jump, Arpiner, National Games and Open nationals champion, came second leaping to 16.31m. Kazakh Roman Valiyev, Doha Asiad silver medallist, took the gold with a leap of 16.60m.
