Mansukh Mandaviya, India’s Sports Minister, took part in the FIT India Pink Cyclothon on Sunday to celebrate International Women’s Day and promote fitness among women.
The event was held as part of the Sunday on Cycle campaign, which encourages people across the country to take up cycling for better health and a cleaner environment.

While speaking at the event, Mandaviya urged people to make cycling a regular habit, saying it is a simple way to stay fit and also reduce pollution.
He noted that such initiatives help cultivate a culture of fitness and collective responsibility among citizens.

The minister also highlighted the importance of empowering women.
"When women are empowered, families and society prosper, contributing directly to nation-building," Mandaviya said in his address.
Mandaviya further called for more support and opportunities for women and girls to take part in sports and fitness activities, adding that inclusive participation can strengthen communities and help the nation progress.
