Ramesh Desai elected president of Goa kabbadi association

BICHOLIM: Ramesh Desai has been unanimously elected as the president of

Goa Kabbadi

association (

GKA

) in the recently held general body meeting at

Hirabai Zantye

hall Bicholim.

Lavu Kanekar was elected as the joint secretary while, Suraj Malik and

Bhanudas Parab

were elected executive members.

It may be recalled that the above mentioned posts had fallen vacant after its old members failed to attend three consecutive meetings of GKA. This general body meeting was therefore called to discuss about the status of vacant posts as per the provision made in the constitution of GKA.

Meeting was attended by 31 out of total 38 members. Eight Executive committee members that attended the meeting included chairman

, vice presidents Santosh Govekar and Krishnaji Desai, Secretary Mahabaleshwar Surlikar, joint secretary Shubhescha Surlikar, executive committee members Shivaji Mhalkar, Khushali Namshikar, and Sangam Chodankar. During the meeting all the 31 members present extended their support to all 4 new members elected. Meeting was also attended by representative of sports authority of Goa. (SAG) Monica Lobo.
