Youth Snooker: Shrikrashna, Ishpreet advance into quarters Mumbai, Aug 13 () The top two seeds, S Shrikrishna of Tamil Nadu and Ishpreet Singh Chaddha of Maharashtra, easily advanced to the quarter-finals of the Bombay Gymkhana Youth Snooker Open here on Tuesday. In pre-quarter-final matches, the Chennai-based number one seed Shrikrishna, who is Indias fifth ranked junior snooker player, potted steadily to move past Adil Khan, winning 3-0 (52-25, 106-4 and 68-26). Later, second seed Chaddha of Mumbai called the shots against Sahil Kakad and raced to a 3-0 win. Chaddha fired in breaks of 44 and 62 in the first and second frames to complete a 77-30, 69-14 and 76-37 victory. In another match, Asutosh Padhy produced an impressive break of 92 to send Uttar Pradeshs Vishwajeet Mohan, Indias junior number four snooker player, crashing out in the round of 16. Padhy struck good form and scored an impressive 66-39, 63-52, 92-7 victory. In the only match that went the distance, Taaha Khan of Railways got the better of Suraj Rathi 3-2. In a match of fluctuating fortunes Khan managed to hold his nerves to snatch a 35-62, 49-37, 70-34, 45-65, 45-13 victory. Hussain Khan beat Rayaan Razmi 3-0 (87-24, 65-50, 74 -22); Hritik Jain beat Nikhil Saigal 3-0 (70-64, 76-40, 74- 38);Ishpreet Singh Chaddha beat Sahil Kakad 3-0 (77(44)-30, 69 (62)-14, 76-37).
