WNBA star Angel Reese is making headlines for her unwavering support of her younger brother, Julian “JuJu” Reese, as he and the Maryland Terrapins prepare for a crucial Sweet 16 showdown against No. 1 seed Florida in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Reese donned a stunning outfit custom-made for the special occasion, which became the subject of discussion among fans online.

Angel Reese made her way to the Bay Area following her Unrivaled championship victory to cheer on her brother. She made a statement by rocking a custom black leather jacket with “JUJU SISTER” emblazoned across the back. The fashion choice quickly went viral as it was both her sibling pride and her Baltimore roots.

In addition to the jacket, she carried a black Under Armour shirt featuring the words “I’M FROM BALTIMORE,” a nod to Terrapins center Derik Queen’s now-famous quote after sinking a game-winning shot against Colorado State. The Maryland men’s basketball team proudly shared the moment on social media, captioning it: “Proud big sister! Proud to be from Baltimore!”

Before transferring to LSU, where she led the Tigers to a national championship and forged herself as a top WNBA prospect, she played for Maryland from 2020-2022. Julian, meanwhile, has started his own path as a crucial piece of the Terrapins’ success, helping them reach their first Sweet 16 since 2016.
The junior forward has been one of the important players in Maryland’s tournament run. He posted 18 points in their opening-round win over Grand Canyon and added another 15 against Colorado State. His clutch free throws in the final seconds of the latter game helped set up Derik Queen’s game-winning jumper. Also, it has sent the Terrapins into their highly anticipated matchup against Florida.
Julian is also making history in his own right. He became the second player in Maryland history to record 1,000 career rebounds, joining Len Elmore.
