Bronny James earns loads of good words from Sixers’ star Paul George: "He makes the right plays”

Philadelphia 76ers star Paul George has recently shared his candid opinion on Bronny James. Bronny has a lot to prove and there has been mounting pressure added to his name as most fans expect him to match the legacy of his father, LeBron James. Certainly, Bronny has a long way to go to meet the standards of his father in the league but the young basketball star has been making waves playing for his father’s team Los Angeles Lakers. While criticism surrounds Bronny in regards to his consistency and performance, Sixers veteran George’s reflection on the Lakers star gave a fresh perspective to the fans. Bronny James is a rising star, at least, the Sixers star Paul George acknowledged the potential of the 20-year old who is now in a two-way contract— one with the LA Lakers and one with the G-League.On a recent episode of Podcast P with Paul George, the Sixer star shared his thoughts on Bronny. "When I've seen (Bronny James) play, he makes the right plays. He doesn't necessarily go out to be flashy. But he makes the right plays,” George said.He added that Bronny has been under a lot of pressure and it is not a cakewalk to snap out of such pressure at his age. “I think he's feeling the pressure that when he's on the floor, he has to produce, he has to score, he has to do something,” George continued.“It’s unfortunate man but that’s what being a rookie is. You learn from these battles, you could be a veteran, you don’t necessarily win a lot of matchups sometimes. Sometimes somebody has your number. Sometimes it’s a rough matchup, sometimes it’s a learning curve, it’s a learning experience…I see people beating him up and talking about it, but we’ve all gone through that,” George explained. However, the 34-year-old believes that Bronny is on a right path as he is improving his games both in the NBA and the G-League. “He plays the right way. He lets the game come to him. ... He can't do that. You playing on the floor with LeBron James... The ball's not gonna be in your hands." He added, “He’ll grow, he’ll evolve, he’ll get better from this experience playing against Maxey. He’s been killing it in the G-League."Certainly, it is a privilege to share the court with his father on the same team, especially when he is the king of the game, LeBron James. The father-son duo also made history playing together and there are potentially a few years for them to continue sharing the court until James hangs up his basketball sneakers.
