Ayesha Curry's love story began back in 2003 when they were just two teenagers, attending the same church at the age of 15 and 14, and saw each other for the first time. Now, at the age of 37 and 36, the two are a power couple - navigating the world of basketball successfully, while also being a loving family many admire. When Stephen Curry met Ayesha Alexander
It was the year 2003, when met the love of his life for the very first time, even if he didn't know it then. Ayesha Curry, who was 14 years of age at the time, and went by Ayesha Alexander, would walk up to him, barely say a few words, and walk away. This is how their story began, although the actual love story took a while to start.
Then, in 2008, Steph Curry visited Los Angeles for the ESPY Awards, where he reunited with his once church-friend, and sparks flew. Ayesha was living in LA at the time, following her dreams to the land of Hollywood, where she had small stints in shows like Hannah Montana. They began dating, and it was allegedly Ayesha who confessed first, and then, while watching a movie with their families, the NBA superstar made his own confession, reciprocating her feelings. And finally, the love story truly began.
Proposal, marriage, and a loving family
The happy couple dated for a couple of years, before Stephen Curry decided it was time, and popped THE question, in 2010. Ayesha Curry, who did not think she would marry so young, or had any plans for a family, found herself saying yes despite all her reservations. And right in the spot where they had their first kiss, the star got down on his knees, and asked Ayesha to marry him in the middle of a family cookout.
A year later, on July 30, 2011, the happy couple tied the knot at Ballantyne Resort in North Carolina. A year later, their oldest daughter - Riley Elizabeth Curry was born on July 19, 2012. Then came their second daughter, Ryan Carson Curry, who was born on July 10, 2015. Canon W. Jack Curry was the couple's first son, who was born on July 2, 2018, and their youngest is a son named Caius Chai Curry, who was born on May 11, 2024.
The couple even had a vow renewal ceremony a decade later, and in 2021, their oldest daughter Riley officiates the ceremony in front of their friends and family. The family of 6 are quite close knit and the parents often share pictures of their children in social media, making fans coo with their adorableness.
