All the Smoke, a sports podcast, launched in 2019 courtesy of former Golden State Warriors star Stephen Jackson and ex-Golden State Warriors star Matt Barnes. The show, which attracted a following of 2 million, served as a venue where fans could go ahead and weigh in on all matters within sports media.

When an ex-staff member, Sean Butler, went ahead to use the name of the show to his own advantage, Barnes and Butler got hot. She responded with post after post and stories that shook the very core of many in the podcasting world. Barns made no bones about expressing his issues with Sean Butler, nor were his words anything but subtle.

Matt Barnes slammed an ex employee who was pretending to be connected to his podcast

Matt Barnes, along with Stephen Jackson, boasts a 2 million social media following, wrote a book called All the Smoke, and has had guests like Kamala Harris, Kobe Bryant, and Shaquille O'Neal. That, plus his book, is a treasured feat that no one is going to let get harmed, Barnes said. Taking to his Instagram account, the 44-year-old took a shot at a former associate who apparently was pretending to be connected to the podcast.

“This guy Sean Butler @hollywoodexec is FULL OF $H!T,” he wrote. “He has absolutely NOTHING to do w @allthesmoke or me. He hasn’t been apart of the show since 2019. He’s going around talking to people & brands as if he reps me & my show.”

Frustrated Branes was demanding Butler remove the Executive Producer title from his bio and warned him to stay out of his business deals. The ex-NBA star shared a screenshot proving Sean has been doing what Barnes is alleging, pointing to someone having conversations with Butler in the name of the All the Smoke team. “Quit playin w me @hollywoodexec. Got this screen shot this morning. This will be the last time I verbally address you. @cultivateentertainment & @hollywoodexec are all frauds,” Barnes captioned his second post.

Clarifying that Butler worked on the show for six months in 2019, it was indeed her last collaboration with him after allegedly botching a deal that gave Showtime the IP rights for the show. Barnes is currently fighting false claims made by Butler and has clarified their past. "I don’t want to have to sue you. I don’t want to have to go that route. Just leave me alone,” he said in his third IG post.

All the Smoke is one of Barnes' prized feats. Brought into existence with a lot of love and hope around it and he has made it clear that he's not having anyone messing around his show.
